WE GROW QUALITY
Since 1946, the Coast Seafoods Company has been the premiere source
for oysters in the United States. Today, our leadership includes
not just traditional Pacific oysters, but also Mediterranean and Trossulus mussels from our
Penn Cove Shellfish L.L.C., Japanese Kumamoto oysters, the newest Triploid "All-Season" oysters and Asari (Manila)
steamer clams. We are also the world leader in oyster and clam
larvae sales and produce significant quantities of mussel, clam
and oyster seed.
TOTAL CONTROL FROM SPAWNING THROUGH
PROCESSING
We create a quality product by controlling every step of production.
That's why we've developed the world's largest oyster hatchery (Quilcene,
WA), capable of producing more than 30 billion oysters per year,
and now the largest shellfish seed hatchery in North America
in Kona, Hawaii capable of producing more than 250 million seed
per year. We also own and operate over 15,000 acres of Pacific coast
tidelands, used exclusively as growing beds. Finally, our level
one HACCP approved state-of-the-art production facility at South
Bend, WA can process as many as half a million oysters per shift,
all with the highest quality control standards.
A DIFFERENCE YOU CAN
TASTE Our fresh and fresh-frozen oysters and steamer clams
are selected from the choicest stock, pampered from infancy, and
reared and harvested on tidal lands washed by the cold, clean
waters of the Pacific coast. They're carefully processed to ensure
peak flavor, texture and freshness. The result is a difference you
can taste, one which has made us the standard of the
industry. |
